Fit for a princess, Chablis is one of the World’s finest white wines. It can be pricey, but there are some bargains to be had, says Rob Buckhaven
1 Citrusy
Tesco Chablis (£7.79) has turbo flavours of lemon and green apple.
Blagger’s guide
To be called “Chablis”, the grapes used in the wine must have been grown entirely in the tiny French village of the same name.
2 Tropical
Chablis J Moreau Vin A Deux 50cl (£7.99, Ocado.com) has roast pineapple richness.
Blagger’s guide
All Chablis wines are made from the Chardonnay grape, and the majority are un-oaked.
3 Delicate
Asda Petit Chablis (£7.27) is pear sorbet in a bottle.
Blagger’s guide
“Petit Chablis” is considered lower quality, due to inferior soil. So while it still tastes good, it costs less. Hurrah!
